What's the fastest time anyone has done when finishing at Amersham/Chesham?
Just wondering if I should just bin my route and start afresh?
If a sub 17:30 is easily possible, I might stick to it.

The trouble with Amersham/Chesham finishes is that the" services are only half hourly so only a slight delay on an earlier journey can have a massive effect on the total time.

On the other hand Heathrow services are every 10 minutes so missing one doesn't have as big an effect on the total time. In fact,if you're really lucky/quick you might even be able to "catch up" a service,but I'm not saying how!

Been there, seen it, done it and should have been a GWR... Not that I am still bitter all these years on

Perhaps it's a relief to know I'm not the only one crazy enough to have tried it! (Though so far only on recce runs, not in a "live" attempt).
