Yes- but how to tell then? The other service wasn't cross platform so a quick dash wasn't to be had.tangy wrote:Don't trust the boards at Hamm H&C especially if there has been a long gap in service. Passengers entering at Hammersmith are directed onto one train, whilst another departs "empty" to pick up the waiting passengers at Goldhawk Road, Wood Lane etc. therefore spreading the load between two trains rather than all cramming in the first.

Yes, I am aware of the results needing posting, very busy with personal business the past couple of days. I will post them up later tonight.

Re: Random 15 Championship 2014/15: Round 4
The all important results which you are all hanging on for dear life to see are revealed below.
Random 15 Championship 2014/15: Round 4 results.
The stations that had to be visited:
--Oval (meet up)
--St. James's Park
--Oxford Circus
--Stockwell
--Shepherd's Bush Market
--Ravenscourt Park
--Arsenal
--Marble Arch
--Leicester Square
--Waterloo (LU)
--Wood Lane
--Green Park
--Bank
--High Street Ken
--Bond Street
We had 14 challengers in 12 teams, so in reverse order:
12th: 02:23:26 Tangy finishing at Arsenal
11th: 02:23:10 Leam Farrar finishing at Bank
10th: 02:21:45 Peter Smyth finishing at Arsenal
9th: 02:19:35 Nick Gardner finishing at Ravenscourt Park
8th: 02:15:24 Andrew Baker finishing at Wood Lane
6th=: 02:11:18 Glen Bryant finishing at Arsenal
6th=: 02:11:18 Myles-Swaine-Gray finishing at Wood Lane
5th: 02:08:40 The Orange One finishing at Arsenal
3rd=: 02:04:35 Andi James finishing at Arsenal
3rd=: 02:04:35 Kevin Brown, Nozza and Nozza Jnr finishing at Arsenal
2nd: 02:03:36 Martin Orr finishing at Ravenscourt Park
1st: 01:58:40 Andrew Chilcraft finishing at Wood Lane
**The tie for 6th place between Glen and Myles really is a dead heat as they both finished to the same hundredth of a second, despite finishing at completely different stations! The time for both was 02:11:18.31.
Therefore the league table now looks like this:
1st: Andrew Chilcraft: 34 points (4 rounds attended)
2nd: Glen Bryant: 33 points (4)
3rd: The Orange One: 32 points (4)
4th: Andi James: 30 points (4)

Well, unless the twist turns out to be something ridiculous, here are all the closures:
Central: Queensway to North Acton
Usual Thameslink/Southeastern palaver at London Bridge
Station Closures:
- Royal Oak
- Holland Park
- Shepherd's Bush Central
- White City
- East Acton
- Covent Garden westbound
- TCR Central Line
Verdict on closures:
Will enable me to travel on rare Queensway crossover. Central Line frequency is likely to be much reduced through the centre. Quite possible that service will be curtailed to Marble Arch. North Acton will be a pain in the neck if it turns up (10 minute service up each of the branches!), and might well see widespread use of rail replacement buses should it arise.
As for other closures, business as usual, except Royal Oak, which is not too interesting, especially now Royal Oak to Warwick Avenue has gone out of fashion. Also, no Overground closures! This was certainly a good date to pick.
