I think I will come.
Also, can I team up with some of you, because I can't get at those attachments for forward planning? I still haven't got up to that posts count, mainly because there's nothing I feel particularly qualified/have no interesting questions/stories to post about.

parkrun want to discourage inaugural tourism as it creates an abnormally large event for volunteers to cope with for their first ever go at organising the event!Going Underground wrote:What makes you say that?tractakid wrote:

Re: RailUK challenge and pre-parkrun
Seems a shame as some people have spent years making an effort to get along to inaugural runs and have this recognised....tractakid wrote:parkrun want to discourage inaugural tourism as it creates an abnormally large event for volunteers to cope with for their first ever go at organising the event!Going Underground wrote:What makes you say that?tractakid wrote:

The 4 inaugurals I have attended this year have all had less than 300 - 200 people which is no problem really....

Re: RailUK challenge and pre-parkrun
It's a far greater number than they will have in the following weeks. Early parkruns all started small, this is a relatively recent phenomenon, which will only get worse as parkrun's popularity increases. I can completely understand why parkrun now don't advertise inaugurals.Going Underground wrote: Seems a shame as some people have spent years making an effort to get along to inaugural runs and have this recognised....
