Where am I? UK #15 (Scaling a Bridge to Nowhere)

Post by RobbieM »

Here we go. This is another location I've visited in the past twelve months. A correct description will be accurate to around 10 square metres. (It may be helpful to bear in mind observations from recent threads.)

Let's see if you can get it in thirty. If not, I'll give you a ten-question bonus...

Fire away!

Thought you would! For the uninitiated, that means he's north-east of the A5 and north of the Thames Estuary.

Are you south of the original route of the A66 in 1922? (That's Penrith - Scotch Corner - Boroughbridge - York - Beverley - Hull. If you're west of the A6, take the current A66 as the demarcation line.)

Are you within a unitary local government area (i.e. one that appears in red on this map)?

Yes (5/30), though I did like it better when counties were counties...

Well this is extraordinary. After a mere six questions I've come to the conclusion that you can only be in one of two areas: the part of the York Central parliamentary constituency north of the A59/A1079, or the part of Hull east of the A1079. Unless I'm missing something...

Are you in York?
