Scores so far: DavidC 101, tubeguru 1, GuyBarry -7. I kind of thought this would happen...

I have no idea what I'm doing. One point is better than nothing.

You claimed one point (I'm not fussy about the wording). No one else got in within one minute of your post, so you won the point. If someone had got in before the clock ticked over to the next minute, you've had lost the point. That's all there is to it - it's even easier than Tumbleweed. :)

That's an invalid claim under the amended rule (1), so you neither gain nor lose points. (You're lucky - if I hadn't amended the rules you'd have just accumulated a gigantic negative score.)

I've got a very sensitive 00000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 key.

Scores (unsurprisingly) unchanged since yesterday. I can't claim again since I made the last valid claim, and no one else has done so.

This game isn't really intended for long gaps in play. It was conceived as a sort of "anti-Tumbleweed" game - when I first tried it out, people were jumping in every few minutes trying to scupper other people's claims. There doesn't seem to be the level of interest at the moment to sustain it.

I'll wait a bit longer, but if there are no valid claims for the next 24 hours the game will be abandoned.

That's how all internet games go.

A number of points (you choose).

In order to be scrupulously fair, I used a random number generator to pick a number from 1 to 100. It came up with 80. Luckily for you, this post is outside the 80-minute limit, and so you gain 80 points! Well done.

Success! Scores (after bending the rules to help tubeguru): DavidC 101, tubeguru 81, GuyBarry 13. Carry on...

No claims for nearly two days, so game abandoned. Congratulations to DavidC for achieving the highest score (and for apparently being the only other player who understood the rules).
