If it's not true then someone has hacked the GWR website.

Of course it's true. Now, Andi, when will you get the record back? Hehe

Topic moved, as Geoff hasn't written up a report on this yet.

Re: New World Record
Well done - and, by their standards, a pretty quick turnaround by Guinness!
I thought that Geoff and co had been having another attempt on that Friday, and when in an e-mail exchange he denied it (and a few other little give-away signs), I was convinced that the record had fallen. I remember saying to my wife and son, I wonder how long it will take for it to become public.
Anyway, well done. If at first you don't succeed ...

Re: New World Record
The run was done on Friday so if you asked about Thursday, Nigel, then Geoff could legitimately deny it.

Re: New World Record
Sorry - I meant Friday; I should have known what day of the week I meant, as it was my son's birthday that day. Had it not been for that, I would have had another go myself then, but I was firmly told that my try on Tuesday was the only one allowed that week!Iain wrote:The run was done on Friday so if you asked about Thursday, Nigel, then Geoff could legitimately deny it.
