That is harder than 2048! The 'How to Play' is wrong too! (it is for 2048!)
I got up to a 987 tile on my first attempt, which was much further than I was expecting. Might try again later but my fingers are worn out!

Same! Only just, with my last move!

I got two 144, but seemed to only be able to get 34s, not 89s, as then when I tried to get the 89 to a 144 I ended up with another 144!

Got to a 1597 tile this time. It's just a matter of practice...

How did that work? Pure luck?

Race to 3000?...
They've got 71 to go, we've got 398 to go (since my latest post). We'd have to go 5.6 times as fast as them, which seems impossible at first, but it's taken them nearly three months to do the last 71 posts (2858 was on June 26th). So if they continue at the same rate they won't hit 3000 until nearly Christmas. We'd still have to average something like 4.5 posts a day though.

Let's try 4.5 posts a day. I'll help!

I think the target of 3000 by Christmas is a good one to aim for, regardless of whether QI get there first or not. (Incidentally, we got to 1000 on Christmas Day three years ago!) I'll try to post regular progress reports in this thread. On target so far!

I note that QI have started again with fact number 2930. Complete coincidence of course, and absolutely nothing to do with the fact that we've started racing them again...

You mean you told them?

Nope. I don't take part there any more.

Fair enough

They always claim that they don't read this forum, that they're not interested in the idea of a competition, and that nothing they do in their game is influenced by anything we do. And yet they always seem to pick up when we do. Funny, that.
