My 10th country IRELAND and what a shock despite stopping on the course to get my bearings and being delayed at the start i cruised to an unlikely 1st place in BERE ISLAND parkrun i highly recommend this to any parkrunner the expeirence of getting their by boat and then a minibus ride a coffee afterwards.

i recommend lynch.s on the pier for accommodation in CASTLETOWNBERE and take your time maybe explore the place a bit more than the time i spent there!

Here are the latest stats.

Congratulations to tractakid on joining the 500 club! :D

My current run streak of 64 will come to an end next week. I'm at Simmons Park this Saturday, but next week I will be in Austria skiing.
I'd love to go and do one of the Austrian parkruns, but this would mean sacrificing a morning of skiing. :(

Simmons was good fun. Mainly run on paths around the park, apart from one small section across grass. You need to be a bit cautious on a tight hairpin bend that then goes downhill on a slight camber, I almost slipped but just managed to stay on my feet. Luckily you only do that corner once, but I can see it creating problems in wet/icy conditions. The course has an interesting loop that you repeat three times before the final lap of the cricket field. It is quite narrow in the three loop section, so just be aware of oncoming traffic. It's best to stay as far left as possible to let us quicker runners get by!!!!
