Today I met up with Andy to do Great Lines near Gillingham. A friendly team that we bumped into in the nearby cafe and a fairly tough two lapper with a long hill. Great gun coming down though :D

Tough but picturesque course at Canterbury and so so hot. About 60m of climb overall and just too much for me. I was going along ok until about 3km but walked the two remaining hills

A visit away from Cornwall this week with a trip to Edenbrook Country parkrun. Unfortunately I couldn't do the course any justice as I'm currently suffering with achilles tendinitis. Here are the full results for this week:

Great trip to Sittingbourne this weekend. Fairly flat and on gravel paths with enough grass either side to run on. Just over two laps.

They were doing a rainbow run that we weren't aware of so looked a bit mundane compared to many of the runners, but still gad great fun and I did another fastest time for over 15 years

You're making great progress, what odds are you offering on a sub-23 minute time within the next 12 months?

Cheers Soupy - I think it's possible but yesterday was inly just off my best age grade score (ignoring my non run at Randfontein). My best parkrun time is 23:15 back in 2006 - would love to beat that

well i did a bit of mega tourism not as far as others i see ABERDEEN parkrun part 2 of the BJORN again challenge the other 2 will be done next 2 weeks time. its a lovely course simple straight out along the top by the road first bit a little slope but its gradual and then at the turn around point u come back along the promenade with the north sea winds crossing you. unique fact got chatting to the 21m pacer whom i was trying just to keep ahead of me by 100m really wanted that 16s i thought i had started my own stopwatch late but it turns out i was too quick at the line and got 13s.

DAM but then on sunday the guy i was following was the other timekeeper at the juniors duthie so that was strange a great 5th birthday parkrun and a chance of an adult 2k parkrun afterwards forfun where i got 8m 8s for 2k.

Trip to Cieszyn on the Poland/Czech Republic border - a really lovely run either side of the river that forms part of the border. The early start to get tp the airport for an 7am start and then several hours travel from Katowice left me tired, even the next morning, but it was well worth the trip

This week I visited Pocket parkrun - a nice two lapper on a mix of surfaces. The minute's silence just before the start was a nice touch, and then I set off waaaaay too fast and blew up about 3km in. I slowed down significantly in the last mile, but still finished in my second fastest time for ages at just over 27 minutes. If I can get the pace right next week at Worthing then I'm hopeful of a time close to 26 minutes.
