Well done Andi, I had a feeling that he was going to get back ahead of me before long. Hopefully this will help push me on towards setting a new PB soon, I needed some incentive as the last few runs I've just been going through the motions.tubeguru wrote:Another week updated. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/ ... sp=sharing
A PB for Andi, who goes under 20 minutes, and ahead of Soup Dragon in the time-graded list. He did it at Exeter Riverside (the course where I set my all-time PB last year), so it's certainly one for fast times.
Al didn't run this week, so no PB. No doubt he'll smash one in next Saturday. Das came close to a PB too.

Re: Tube Challenge parkrun league...
A day or so late with the update this week - I was away for the weekend.
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/ ... sp=sharing
Andi becomes the first forum member to become an "Alphabeteer" (completing a parkrun at a course beginning with every letter of the alphabet). I don't know how many people worldwide have achieved this, but there can't be too many.
Also, Al does it again and gets a PB, which makes it a PB on every run he's done so far. I think he's the forum member with the longest run of PBs from their first run onwards (if that makes sense). I can't be bothered to check if anyone else has ever had a run of five PBs in a row at any point to be honest ...

That's impressive. Where can we start a parkrun that begins with X?tubeguru wrote:Andi becomes the first forum member to become an "Alphabeteer" (completing a parkrun at a course beginning with every letter of the alphabet). Re: Tube Challenge parkrun league...
I should say that I don't believe there ARE any parkruns starting with X, even in China and Mexico where places beginning with X are most prevalent.
So actually, he has done the maximum that is currently possible - 25 letters. I await tractakid searching somewhere and finding an X parkrun for Andi to do ...

I went for a run the other day, and I'm not in (the bad kind of) pain. So I finally printed off some barcodes.

Agreed. No X. Though I would point out that Andi was at Exeter Riverside the previous week. I think he knew.tractakid wrote:No. Cross Flatts counts as a C. There is. No. X!greatkingrat wrote:Maybe he can go and do X Flatts (Cross Flatts)!

It only took 2 years, but I've finally got round to a first attempt. Banbury's not a particularly easy course, with mixed terrain and lots of tight twisty sections. The island was particularly muddy after yesterday's rainfall, so a lot of slowing down there.

Now I have a target!geofftech wrote: Neil, Re: Al's PB's - my first ever six parkruns all at Gunnersbury i PB'd each time (I slacked off on my 7th week).
Sadly, couldn't run today and it is cancelled next week due to a horse event thing. Hopefully back there on the 18th.
