Got anything to say that's not about the Tube? Say it here!

I mean you don't have to fly from New Zealand to California. Could just print two barcodes out and get two people run two different parkruns

Slightly less fun though!

Very much enjoyed the parkrun at Woking, despite the weather being a bit gloomy and slightly damp.
I was joined by two fellow runners from Worthing Harriers, Charles & Sarah, and from Tubehchallengers Kevin and Phil.
I'm amazed that my son Phil actually got out of bed for this, but in the process he increased his total parkruns by 100%.
We had a good breakfast afterwards at Spoons, followed by a few games.

Anyhow.... here is this weeks update for you all.

Less fun, but cheaper!

I wonder if anyone has ever tried? I'd honestly be tempted to give it a try, if I was a Kiwi going on a holiday or business trip to the USA!

Fastest run for about three years this week at Swanley. Great course (not as complex as it sounds from the description), friendly team, and a miniature railway which the youngest member of the group thoroughly enjoyed :D.

Did you go to the Canal Cafe? It had closed for a few weeks because of a problem with the rent, it still hadn't re-opened when we were there a few weeks ago.

I was at Clapham Common this week, which most of you have already run. The age range seemed a lot younger than at most other parkruns. It was a real cavalry charge at the start and I really struggled to keep up with the early pace (3:49 for the first km), I finished in 44th so was very surprised to be first in my age group.

Elsewhere this week congrats to Iain & The Raven for setting their fastest times since return, and Geofftech for setting a new PB of 23:52

My return to parkrun this week, and only my second ever course - Eastville - as away with work. Did not like going up the same nasty hill three times, but otherwise a pleasant course, especially considering how urban it is. Also got my first medal.
Held some Alternative Challenge records for a long time.
Doesn't any more.

Welcome back after a 42 month break! Hopefully it will become a regular feature again? :D

Unlikely to be regular as still like sleeping on Saturday mornings, but should be a shorter gap between events!

Certainly not an option when you are touring, if I did Worthing every week then I could possibly get away with getting up at 8:30 and still make it.
This week I was up at 6:00 for Clapham Common.

What is the earliest anyone has got up to travel to parkrun?

That's a shame.

Dry both Saturday and Sunday in Bournemouth, though only just. The sunshine coming out just before 9am both days.
