About time - but well done :D

A chilly morning just outside of the tube network at Church Mead. Not a PB course with 60 metres of climb on each lap.

And a very low key affair it was as well despite a 75% tourist turn out at Old Deer for #555 - 3 x runners doing their 100th and gasps and rapturous applause when the RD said "and finally doing their 200th run............ etc...... " Wish I would have said something now :?

Congratulations this week to scrxisi on joining the 'Cowell' club with his 100th different venue at Pontefract.

Unfortunately my longest ever streak of 42 weeks came to an end. Shortly before 8am I checked Eden Project on facebook and they had posted, "Coruse checked, event definitely ON", so I didn't bother to check any other courses and headed to Eden at about 8:45. As I arrived at Eden dozens of cars were leaving because at 8:40 they had changed their minds and cancelled the event. I didn't have time to check anything else, so quickly diverted to Lanhydrock hoping that they would be on (they had been last week in colder conditions). I arrived at Lanhydrock at 9:10 but sadly it was also cancelled, I did still run it as a 'Freedom' run with another runner who diverted from Eden. The course was terrible, so much black ice, so it was right that they cancelled. From what I understand the Eden Project parkrun team were still planning to go ahead but management at Eden Project said no.
Only Land's End, Mount Edgcumbe and Trelissick survived in Cornwall, had I known in advance I'd have gone to Trelissick.

The upshot of all this is that I won't be running on Christmas Day, I had planned on doing Central Plymouth (nearest event for me that's running), but as my streak has now gone, 'she who must be obeyed' has banned me from attending

Here are the stats for those that did run: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/ ... sp=sharing

Do we have to do the two extra events in the next ten days to keep our streak going?

I believe that you would just have to do the one tomorrow, if you skipped tomorrow and then did Christmas Day you would lose your streak.

A rather pleasing time of 29:59 at Oaklands (Yardley). More satisfying than being a few seconds faster, in my weird mind!

Mote Park was surprisingly hilly. I really enjoyed it though - even that final hill

It's the first time she has finished first at parkrun, quite a slow time considering there were nearly 200 runners there.

I did Basingstoke on NYD, quite an enjoyable little course, a bit muddy in places but overall it was ok.
After a couple of months of injury it's nice to be attempting to run again.

Here are the latest results up to 31st December, I will add 1st January results later this week.
