Hi
sorry if this is in the wrong section.

as this is mine and my friends first time at attempting the tube challenge we are wondering if the overground is included as we don't want to plan without it and then find out we need it, i have asked on another fourm and most have said no but i just wanted to make sure.

thanks

It's not included

Just in case you're not aware of it, there are two stations called each of the following and you need to visit both: Edgware Road, Hammersmith and Paddington

A couple of things to bear in mind too... it is permissable to travel on Chiltern services between Rickmansworth and Amersham, London Overground between Richmond and Gunnersbury, and London Overground between Queen's Park and Harrow and Wealdstone based on the fact the trains share the same rails in these instances. No other stations meet this criteria, so, for example, it is not permissable to visit Kensington (Olympia) solely by London Overground, the District line must be used.

Paddington is split into the 1) Bakerloo, District and Circle and 2) Hammersmith & City and Circle. Edgware Road is split into the 1) Bakerloo and 2) District, Circle and Hammersmith & City. Finally, Hammersmith is split into the 1) District and Piccadilly and 2) Hammersmith & City and Circle lines.

Good luck, and have fun!

Also, no need to go to Scotland.

Helpful facts no overground,no dlr,no tram,no rail stations

waterloo and city line does not have to be ridden

Chesham,amersham,t4,t5,epping,upminster are the furthest places away from central London so therefore are the best logistically starting or finishing places
(Brixton if you believe ******** 2)

ken o can only be visited by tube away from or into

you have 7 trains away and 2 into

tubeguru will always be a pedantic old git

Thanks

So if we are using the chiltern main Line, amersham to marylebone we can't do that and we can only go as far as rickmansworth, and not into marylebone. Is that right?

Awesome that helps a lot, thanks.

Just to check, from what i can tell from the rules, we need somone who isnt on the trains with us to do the official timing. is this right?

Your official timer can also be your support.

Be aware that Canon Street shuts at 9pm so you have to do it before then (the pass through doesn't count)
