I'm not sure too much emphasis should be placed on it breaking through £20. After all, it's been rising year on year for ages.

Well, 20 hours travel for £20 doesn't seem too bad :)

I remember when it was £11.60. When? Oh - my last challenge in August 2012! On a Saturday! (When I set the fourth fastest time ever.) OK - you won't get a poxy certificate from an over hyped marketing company who bought the rights from a drinks company who sold out to a multinational conglomerate. But frankly who gives a toss about that? More importantly, there are fewer trains, which does make it more difficult.

I'm not sure when you can next do it on a Saturday though - there's a pre-Christmas engineering works moratorium, but will Cannon Street be still be open (as it was on August 25th)?

TBH the cost cost of the travelcard is the last thing I worry about When I have to consider getting up to London from Penzance and the cost of at least one nights hotel/B&B.
Typical cost for a full network for me is
Penzance - London £20ew
Hotel £29pn
Travel card £19.60

Last Challenge Cost £117.60 + Food & Drink
