Following the success of last years Worthing Open I just wondered how many people would be interested in doing the same again this year? If enough people are interested then I'm happy to organise another event. This is also the weekend of the Worthing Bus Rally which takes place on Sunday 29th July, although I will be at Wembley watching Olympic football that day.

The event will start at 11:00am approx at The George & Dragon, Tarring, which is close to West Worthing Station.

In principle yes, but not on that date. Would be better after the (real) Olympics have finished.

You're right Sam.

However, owing to me moving out of Norwich at the end of this month, and the, frankly, lukewarm reception from most landlords, I decided it was better to go for a tried-and-tested formula and put Norwich on a back burner for this year at least!

Maybe do a poll with some different dates then SD?

Would be good to get as many along as possible, hopefully Norwich can be done at some time in the future James

Definitely, GU! Hoping that the move from Norwich is only short term, so I should be able to get to work on the landlords once I'm back here permanently!

Having checked my busy social calendar with Mrs Soup Dragon, the next available date would have been well into September. Therefore I've decided to go ahead with 28th July and hope as many can make it as possible.

Fair enough, as has already been pointed out, am not sure a date during the Olympics is ideal but that's life! Enjoy!

Thinking about driving down and booking a cheapo travelodge or similer as last year I had to leave rather early (10pm) to get to the other side of London. Would be ok if I was south of the river, but was a pain in the arse and I had to get a £17 taxi from Watford Junction Station at that time of night. Just wondering if Soupie or GU know anywhere I can park for free in Worthing (dont mind even a 30 minute walk as all the cheapo places are on the seafront) just dont want to pay over the odds on parking as you do at seaside places and they dont have their own car parks.

There are loads of back roads with free parking 10-15 mins walk to town centre/Travelodge which is along the seafront......
