Why don't we draw a random station (not Aldgate) Friday 13th after All Lines? We can maybe even pin a tube map on the dartboard and see where the dart finishes nearest too?

i got to admit that drawing system was always fun last time seeing as i have never done a bottle challenge is it all the stations in the old circle line plus aldgate east can i have alist of stations that would be included as i have to see if my route for zone 1 would work with some alterations of course.

It is all the stations on or inside the old Circle Line. So it would be all of zone 1 apart from

Paddington (H&C)
Edgware Road (Bak)
Marylebone
Angel
Old Street
Aldgate East
London Bridge
Southwark
Waterloo
Borough
Elephant & Castle
Lambeth North
Pimlico
Vauxhall
Earls Court

Edgware Road (Bak) and Marylebone are included... There was some debate about this a couple of years or so back if anyone can find the topic?

I recall the tube map at the time had them inside the "bottle"

Darts will be used to determine the station for the Z1 as was the case in 2008.

On network maps hasn't Paddington, Edgware Road (Bak) and Marylebone moved from inside to outside of the circle line multiple times? I think actual geographical location should be the decider!

Yes it has! We had a vote in 2006 which decided that they should be visited. I'm not sure what the outcome of such a vote would be if it were repeated today, now that they have moved outside on the maps.

The problem is that is they are now excluded then all previous times / records will be difficult to compare... It is not like there is an actual change to the network here but simply a re-design of the tube map.....

As far as I am aware every previous "Bottle" attempt has included them?

Yes, I think every previous attempt has included them. It's not completely true to say there has been no change to the network, though. It's now impossible to travel from Notting Hill Gate to Baker Street via Paddington without changing trains. That will make it harder to beat the record.

Sorry, yes I meant in terms of new or closed stations...

LOCOTOG Has ruled that the stations to be visited in this challenge will include Edgware Road (BAK) & Marylebone. This is to maintain consistency with the 2006 vote on this forum and to keep in line with the stations visited in the 2008 Olympics. The current Olympic Record is 2:06:48 set by Matt Scrivin & Steve Ilham.
