Apologies

Post by dr_chris »

My apologies to any persons harassed on the underground over the next few days by men wearing nurses uniforms, tights and breasts constructed from balloons (myself included) and women in scrubs.

Please give generously to help lunatic medical students.

(Also a variety of other charities!)

If you're collecting on the underground, have you got permission of LU?

Don't be a pedantic arse. Don't let corporate red tape get in the way of charity.

I think there WAS a reason for not collecting on the day (apart from the fact I personally think it would have been a bit insensitive).

And everyone had their JustGiving pages set up too.

Do we have an official reason why we didn't collect money on the day?

A hospital charity and a tube run for victims of terrorism are two very different things ...

Well we're not actually collecting for the hospital - we're collecting for (among others):

Cancer Research UK
Barnardos
Help the Aged
MIND

We do have permits from LU to collect in certain locations.

However I was considerably insulted by one woman who harranged me on the Circle Line today telling me that 'I was demeaning the nursing profession' and that 'I had no respect' and 'why didn't i dress as a doctor'... no sense of humour at all...

Were you at Leicester Square station (Ticket Gate area) at about 6-6:30pm on Staurday 28th?

Because if so, then I saw you.

If this wasn't you then there were some strange people on the tube that night.

I think it's RAG Week at KCL. There are likely to be a hell of a lot of doctors and nurses around this week, especially at London Bridge...

I wish real nurses would wear PVC uniforms. Would make my day at work much more interesting!
