Perhaps you could explain a bit more of the thought process that went into it. Is the top bit meant to reflect the Jubilee, and the bottom the Olympics? What are the different colours for? Why did you go with that particular font? And so on.

Something I did discover is that Ariel typeface is similar to the "London Underground" typeface.

Gill Sans is a very similar font, having been based on the Johnstone (LU) typeface.
