Re interest in reality TV about "real" railways:
There's a TV programme currently running here in Finland about the Finnish railways (VR), following the day-to-day work of all kinds of people employed there -- not only drivers, but also guards, buffet car staff, administrative employees, and so on. My son (the other half of TeamHelsinki) is involved in timetable planning at VR and apparently just managed to dodge a camera crew when they were filming the programme around New Year.

Was watching The Chase on Challenge Channel about 4 days ago. There was a chap from Worthing who says he held the tube record. Dunno if he's on here.
Current best: 19:51:10 (2014). Hopefully that will be broken in 2018 :-)

That would be me :D
I did okay in the Cash Builder and made it to the final chase.
I was a bit annoyed at myself because I messed up 2 or 3 answers in the final chase and we missed a couple of push backs.
Would have been nice to win a few quid, but it was a good day out.

As well as Eggheads, I also did Brainteaser back in (I think) 2004. Lost to a chap who told us beforehand he'd "been on Countdown" but confessed afterwards that he was that year's series champion!

I also would have done Great Model Railway Challenge as several different groups asked if I was interested in taking part, however the Eggheads episode hadn't aired at the time and I was not allowed to make any other TV appearances until it was.

I've also been interviewed by BBC Radio Berkshire a couple of times and "appeared" in their Saturday morning quiz during lockdown.

Made my TV debut on BBC Breakfast this morning.

Nothing to do with trains. The BBC did a piece about bell ringing for the upcoming coronation and filmed the live segment at one of the churches where I regularly ring.

Link here: https://fb.watch/iSffxRWdJ9/ I'm one of the ringers who first appear at 4:18. For those that can't spot me, or don't know what I look like, I'm second from right in the black T-shirt.
