Zone 1 2012 - Friday 8th June

Post by MylesHSG »

Friday 8th June

Was talking with Andi during out full network and he was saying how it wouldn't be fair for Tangy or Kev to organise another zone 1 challenge as they have been doing these for a while. Just thought I would put myself forward to organise this years events, unless somebody else would be more experenced than myself. Would only need input from the seasoned members as to which public house(s) we should grace and also as to what date is generally used (Andi said something about the Friday before and R15 I think).

im not sure kev has ever organised zone 1 but Tangy has done for last 2 years seems unfair for him to organise again but u could use his nuts (figurately speaking some kind of gammets with the station names inside) Why not put a poll up usually end of may or early june to link to final round of random 15 championship ask the berc for this date.

Ah, maybe it was Kev who rescued the Zone 1 when you know who was organising it?

Kev was very much involved the year that Ric and David Scard organised it doing a lot of work behind the scences and arranging the post-challenge venue.....
The date should be Friday 8th June this year :)

You get my vote to organise Myles! :D

Ps. Would Myles (organiser) or Hakan (three time winner) have to buy a new trophy?

I seem to recall that Hakan offered to provide a new trophy after his third win but not 100% certain.........

There's one on Holloway Road, if that's any use.

Convenient if Arsene Wenger gives up on trying to win one via the conventional method.

So we've got from Myles' attempt to Arsenal FC?
No wonder people at school call me weird.

With regard to date, if it is Friday 8 June then I am fine for that date, as, as luck would have it, it is the week I am off school then. However, as with all of these things, this is still subject to parent's consent. In short, I'm not in, but I'm certainly not out either.
