Dear Mr Moderators,
Please tell me why the "mark forums read" button in the quizzes and games forum doesn't seem to work for me!! I really don't want to have posts that are in the "Word association" and "Around the world" showing as unread. Please help!

Re: Mark Forums Read
Try the 'mark topics read' button a little bit further down - it works for me anyway.

Re: Mark Forums Read
The "Mark Forums Read" thing works perfectly well on the home page. As Nigel correctly points out, going into the forum and clicking "Mark Topics Read" does the trick most effectively. I have no idea how it works otherwise - it's hard-coded into the forum software.
One thing only do I know, and that is that I know nothing - Socrates.

Re: Mark Forums Read
However, I don't want to mark all forums read if I still have stuff in the other forums. Plus, I care about the photo quizzes
OK, thanks Nigel, I will try the mark topics read button.

Re: Mark Forums Read
Same as me - but photo quizzes shouldn't be affected with the 'mark topics read' button, as far as I can make out they are a separate forum in their own right.Sam wrote:However, I don't want to mark all forums read if I still have stuff in the other forums. Plus, I care about the photo quizzes

Re: Mark Forums Read
Nigel is correct above - the "Mark forums read" applies to the sub forums in the Quizzes and Games section (i.e. the Photo Quizzes), whereas the "Mark topics read" applies to the topics in the forum (i.e. everything else).
