Could be useful, but I know from experience at those bus stops that currently do have coundown boards installed that they are not always very accurate.

(Also I find that Tfl's Journey Planner has some strange information for buses on certain routes - I generally find the independent Londonbusroutes site has more accurate for timetable information.)

Assuming buses are not timetabled to run 1 min apart, followed by a 15 min gap, I think it is showing live data The exception appears to be for stops very near the start of the route where it shows the timetable time until the bus actually leaves the terminus.
