Where was Madonna's video for Hung Up filmed on the Tube?

Got anything to say that's not about the Tube? Say it here!

Where was Madonna's video for Hung Up filmed on the Tube?

Post by Annie Mole »

Take a look at my post about this

Madonna's Hung Up Video filmed in tube carriage

Can anyone identify the carriage as it's really causing some sleepless nights

I'd be grateful if you could leave any comments in the link for the post

Cheers

i'm pretty sure that's the piccadilly line before the trains were refurbished, but don't quote me on that.

I thought it was a Picadilly Line train too.

The woman leaning against the side of the train, above the VH1 logo...is that not the extra space which they put in the Picadilly Line trains to deal with the large amount of luggage for passengers to/from Heathrow?

Yeah - Jubilee trains don't have those.

I bet the train was "decorated" to give it a certain look for the director though.

the other one i thought it could be was the northern line, but i think the map up there is a piccadilly line map. and they don't have much space in the aisles either.

If it is not a especially refurbished train, then it is most definitely a Northern line train, about 3 minutes into the video there is quite a good close up shot of the seat upholstery. The old Piccadilly line upholstery and the Northern line are the same pattern just different colours, easy to confuse. The space by the doors, is where the two seats fold up no one is sitting down!

Are you being serious? This is what an unrefurbished 73TS looks like http://www.squarewheels.org.uk/rly/stoc ... iorDay.jpg
Just a slight difference there!

The train is 100% definately a 96TS.

Do you have a link to a photo of a 96TS for us to see to compare to the video?

Here is what a 96TS looks like inside http://www.squarewheels.org.uk/rly/stoc ... orTube.jpg
As you can see, its remarkably similar to the one in the video!

hung up

To answer the question, the video was filmed on a Jubilee line train between Charing Cross and West Hampstead and back. There is a page on the LU intranet that details any filming that has taken place, and Hung Up is mentioned here.
