I have been on it before earlier this year.
There is also one this weekend.
I took pictures last time I was there and you can see them here:

When I went back in June, there was no guide. You could wander round at will.
So I can't really tell you how long it will take.
David Scard knows (since he gets invvolved with such things) and if he's reading this he may be able to tell us.

I probably won't do the tour, as the tour is £10/£8.50 concessions and apparently has to be booked in advance, whereas just wandering around is £6.95/£4.50.
I suppose, being arseholes, they wouldn't class being a student as enough of a concession...

Surely there must be more Tube geeks than just us two, who haven't yet seen it, or want to see it again?!

I would love to wander round on my own, but as it turns out one of my freinds was going down to London that weeekend anyway, so I decided to join them and take the guided tour.
It's probabaly better this way, as knowing me I would spend far too much time wanderign around and would be late to meet my friend and take her to where she needs to be (she doesn't know London at all, and is wary of using the tube/busses/anything by herself).

standclearofthedoors - its like a giant version of Covent Garden, but without the fancy signs and stuff. The website might give you more of an idea
