Annual competitive FNC

I was thinking that it would be a good idea to have a date each year when we all (or some of us) do a FNC to see who can get the fastest time among the challengers on the day (more competitive that the CiN day in which case the focus is more on the charity side of it) (I know you've done it in the Tube Olympics, but I think it should be done annually rather than biannually in the Tube Olympics). As the GWR is so difficult to reach, people can aim for getting the fastest time on the day as well as getting the GWR. I would have said May would be the best time to do it (6 months away from CiN, the other annual FNC done on this forum), except that it falls near the Zone 1 Challenge. Perhaps April during the school holidays will be best (I think there are a few students on here).

The thrill of the race is good but CiN has that... There is a worry that too much would be over bearing and not as much fun I fear

There is only so many people that can exit at North Harrow before a queue forms. How do we decide who gets the first position in the queue and who goes at the back?

You have a qualifying session like in F1. Everyone runs from Aldgate to Aldgate East the day before and the fastest time gets pole position and can exit first at North Harrow.

That makes me think...would we introduce the 107% rule?

Certainly the slowest person in the group should go through first, followed by the fastest, and then the rest in any order.
