Where am I? Motorway edition.
The following converstation happened in the car last night
Ian (Girlfriends Dad): I'm thinking of a Motorway
Me: Is it greater than 50?
Ian: No
Me: Is it Circular?
Ian: No
Me: Does it have a junction on the M25?
Ian: No
Me: Does it run from Exeter to Birmingham?
Ian: No
Me: Is it north of the scottish border?
Ian: Yes
Me: M8
Girlfriend: How???
So It's now my turn. I'm on a Motorway... Find me.

This is a Central line train to "Woodford via Hainault"- sadly, not no more!

Re: Where am I? Motorway edition.
Possibly a tricky question to answer that one if one doesn't know what the motorway zones are They're different than the zone used for A and B roadsjonny wrote:Are you in motorway zone 2?

Re: Where am I? Motorway edition.
OK, I'll phrase it differently!
Where you're currently standing, are you within the South-eastern area bound radially around London by the M3 and the Thames estuary?
As in, the Thames goes out from London, and the M3 goes out from London, so it's like a segment of the 360 degrees around London.
I'm really not making this clear enough, sorry...

Re: Where am I? Motorway edition.
Incidentally, I've just realised it's a bad question anyway, because if he says 'no' it hasn't got us very far except to rule out any motorways that are exclusively in zone 2...

Couldn't you just say "Does the motorway number start with a 2?"
