moley voluntered Garion technically has a legal obligation to help him.
How can he have a technical AND a legal obligation? A technicality is usually something that in mitigation against a legal obligation.

That just goes to prove how much of an obligation he has...

That's something of a tradition that has just carried on. No one can be forced to organise anything if they don't want to. I certainly wouldn't be arsed if I'd won it. :)

Geoff seems quite interested in who is organising it this year so maybe he should do it ...

As we seem set on a date you might want to consider the venue and time required for booking.. If everyone is happy to go back to The H & G again we can have a word with the manager when we visit during the various events at Tube Olympics....

One of the reasons that my dad didn't fancy going to the pub after the recent Park Challenge was because The Horse and Groom is a Samuel Smith's pub. He's one of those picky "real ale" types, see, and thinks that they all serve terrible beer.

Just letting you know, I'm sure it won't affect your decision...

It's not the best and the H & G don't even do real ale, but the beer is only £1.95 a pint and has a dartboard so fits most requirements...
Also for Z1 the function room is about the right size and they serve food, but we are always opn to suggestions :)

When we organised it, finding a child-friendly pub was the most important thing. We actually had one venue booked but then cancelled when we secured a better one.
