My 12th attempt will be held on Friday February 13th 2 weeks from now it be a 1st for me as this is being filmed parts of it for a documentary..

Well a slight change of plan i have been interviewed yesterday and their own attempt Tuesday 3rd February will be filmed with my help supporting them.

Well it was posted on the forum my own attempt will go ahead February 13th as planned.And to answer Tubeguru,s question i did give them the offer of interviewing people today but they decided against it.

Nope but i will help them out by carrying stuff and accompanying them on the runs should be an interesting documentary once its finished.I did give them a little advice not to start at Morden though.

Every tube line either fully/part suspended, all London Bus services suspended, hardly any suburban rail services operating- couldn't get any better...

My shift today is 13.00 to 21.00. I'm down as the standby driver at Old Oak Common but I suspect I may well be on the mainline today due to people not being in work. And I'm going to have to walk to work!

To be personally honest i dont think this attempt going ahead.

Chiltern appear to be running a service through Gerrards Cross but not Aylesbury to Amersham from what I can see on the website. I decided I didn't want to risk my life getting there! Plus, I didn't expect a train service to be running /

Watford is looking very picturesque!! London Overground trains are still rattling past though even though the track looks somewhat snow covered!

The line into Victoria looked bad last night. I was suprised there were still trains running with that weather. There's few train services here but the buses are working at least

I had fun getting home last night.
23:00 approx at Clapham Jct and no rail service to Feltham.
Replacement bus as far as Kew Bridge, then they decided to stop running any further.
23:40 237 from Kew Bridge to Hounslow Garage.
00:20 waiting for 203 to Hatton X which didnt show, was told all services suspended but managed to get 111 to Hanworth Library, hoping to catch 285 nightbus but none running.
No option but to walk 2.5 miles from Hanworth to Hatton Cross.
A fun journey home finally arrived Lightwater at 02:00ish

Unfortunately, I had absolutely no problem getting into work this morning. We had at least 6 inches of snow last night, it's still snowing, but the buses are still running as normal.

I should probably point out that I live in Slovenia.

Slovenia is having a great winter in the Julian Alps, over 1 metre of snow at Kranjska Gora. Unfortunately I have no chance to go skiing this season

With easyJet flights, and winter being a cheap time to fly to Ljubljana, it's amazing that more people don't come here for skiing.

From what I have been hearing from my colleagues, it sounds like the winter this year is fairly normal, and in fact last year was mild! I suppose that they are used to these weather conditions, so they have the infrastructure in place to deal with it. The grit vans and snow ploughs were out last night when I walked home, and the roads were clear this morning. I think that if snow was a more common phenomenon in London, it would be business as usual today...

... unfortunately, that would destroy the magic...
