Re: ZONE 1 CHALLENGE CUP 2009 OFFICIAL QUIZ
question 26 = 5 points
question 27 = 4 points
question 28 = 3 points
question 29 = 2 points
question 30 = 1 point
So if u got all 5 correct u could get a maximum 15 points but u can also save.
5 points question 26 correct but dont answer anymore
9 points question 26,27 correct but dont answer anymore
12 points question 26,27,28 correct but dont answer anymore
14 points question 26,27,28,29 correct but dont answer the final question
Some teams might like to chance their way through other teams might be more cautious and save the points.

Wipeout rounds in quizzes are always good, and can quite often swing a result. Nothing more annoying than when an "easy" question wipes you out though

Wipeout means exactly that only go as far as u can go if u didnt know question 28 then put the pen down and save 9 points.scrxisi wrote:Sounds alright, though as we'll all be knackered I hope this thing fairly zips along and doesn't require much concentration
If you get the first two right (for 9) and wipeout on the third q, presumably you can salvage 3 points by getting the final two right?
Re: ZONE 1 CHALLENGE CUP 2009 OFFICIAL QUIZ
Yes ur right all ur points will be wiped out if u get 1 wrong answer in any of the five 26-30.Thats why some teams might be more cagey and save some points to be honest usually 26&27 are usually quite easy 9 points in the bag but 28 is hard (well i think it is.) so u might want to guess or not but remember u get 0 points if wrong.scrxisi wrote:i interpreted it as your points were wiped out so perhaps it's not as obvious as you think maybe you should make things clearer for people like me maybepalkanetoijala31 wrote:Wipeout means exactly that

Re: ZONE 1 CHALLENGE CUP 2009 OFFICIAL QUIZ
I like the idea of the wipeout round. I have played that in a quiz once before but I don't remember that they gave the option to bank the points. From what I can re-call it was all or nothing.
One day I shall return!

Flaming Nora I love this forum. The way we can take a tiny, tiny little topic and string out pages and pages of posts about it - it's great! (eg Wipeout)

There was me thinking one wrong answer would see you removed from existence and any memory of you erased...

Re: ZONE 1 CHALLENGE CUP 2009 OFFICIAL QUIZ
Wouldn't the wipeout round be better if it was 1-2-3-4-5 rather than 5-4-3-2-1?
There is no point taking a risk on the later questions if they are only worth 1/2 points.
