Woodford - always had great changeovers when others (Geoff) have hated this area of the Challenge. Can't remember having to wait more than 2 minutes for a train to either Epping or Hainault. I'm sure that will come back to bite me in the ass!

Actually I was thinking about this again post tube-relief and I think Osterley might be interesting.

It has a weird series of lights above the station entrance (a picture of which is in the Flickr group I think) but I never got to see the front - maybe I should take a trip down there again...

Totally with you on Gunnersbury - it's hideous!

My favourite has to be Kew Gardens. Not only cos it used to be my home station but also cos of the pub that's virtually on the platform - great place to tube watch.

There used to be pubs on underground platforms?!?!?! No way!

There are enough drunk people on the tube already, I'd have thought. Now that would have changed the Tube Challenge; you wouldn't feel so bad at being stuck at West Acton for 10 minutes if you could have a pint on the platform....

well as long as there was somewhere nearby you could go to relieve yourself afterwards - otherwise it might be a case of people peeing on the live rail and *whoomp* - and that's not a way I would choose to be electrocuted, no sir!

We ran into four on our way to Mile End on The Day; they had a pint of presumably-ale with them as well.

Much as I Should like it, it really is my least favourite of the Holden stations on the piccadilly (It's the scaffold)...
