I don't really see the point of forum posting manhood comparisons... (you can tell there's a "but" coming)...
But seeing as you're doing them, can't you make a more achieveable scale - It'll be the year 2017 before anyone can legitimately travel to West Ruislip at this rate
Thats an idea but it's upto moley and co if they want to change the rankings. If Zones 7,8 and 9 were added, it would be interesting to see what the new boundaries would be
By the way, it's 2008 now and I'm already on 400 posts so I think some of us could get to West Ruislip or even further by or before 2017 Anything is possible...
It's probably a good idea for them not to be so exponentially arranged, because I've been posting and posting until I'm blue in the face and I'm still only in zone five.
Well with my arrangement, you would be promoted to Zone 7. Happy?
I feel that this way is more of an equal, 'fairer' way of spacing out the boundaries but like I said, its not my decision. I'm just offering ideas.
Well every forum I've seen has some sort of ranking system. I dont know if it is of any use but its just general things for a forum to have in my opinion. After all, what harm does it do? Its just words in a post.
I guess in a way they give something for a person to aspire to. Some people want to get to the highest level and rankings can keep people 'attached' to a forum for this purpose - as well as getting involved with the forum and activities. It can be viewed as a bit of harmless fun. Like I said, its not doing any harm...is it?
In retrospect I think the rankings are actually quite pointless and could encourage some sad people just to post for no other reason other than to try and improve their ranking.
