Can we stop it with the posting of threads ages before something happens already? ;)

Well it just seems pointless starting a thread for something that's going to happen in a week's time for which planning can't really be discussed because it's private effort.

To an extent I can understand a thread for the 2012 Olympics more (but only just).

Maybe I'm just being grumpy ...

Drama at Chalfont & Latimer :!:

Andi is doing the full network with Damo but they have had to go back to Amersham to start again and watch has been reset

They have now started the challenge on the 0556 service......

Latest and last update 1645 hrs, (cos I am off to meet them soon)
Still a bit down but had a direct M.H.E. from Camden Town and now heading upto High Barnet....

I wonder if Andi will try and persuade Damo to run to Cockfosters if no bus in sight...... :?:

A look at Journey Planner on the TfL website showed me that the only two significant differences are the lack of a direct train from Chesham to Moor Park, and a nought-minute connection at Watford. And...

The 5:28am plan gets you to North Harrow at 6:50am. This takes 82 minutes.
The 5:56am plan gets you to North Harrow at 7:25am. This takes 89 minutes.

Only two trains off the record and with their bad luck earlier in the morning, losing 10 minutes by starting on a later train!

Just to top off a few bits and pieces the evening went very well....

They had a great Ken O, a Circle line within a minute when needed, a pretty good Wimbledon  Morden and all other evening connections were fairly seamless.....
They didn't have the usual long wait at T4 which probably enabled them to make the T5 connection without problem.....

The only slight delay was coming down the Piccadilly on a Hatton Cross terminator  I have been there hundreds of times and never seen that before.....

Bear in mind that they had good service all day, got on a M.H.E. direct when needed I still say that 17hrs 12mins is seriously tough to beat...

The bad news is that Damo appears to have lost his clipboard....which I assume has all the witness statements and other info on.....

Ok will now call for an update on today's full network and see how Damo's tired legs are getting on.... :P
