Cannon Street Run III - R15 Challenge - Saturday 20th Sept.

Post by Soup Dragon »

***Update*** Date confirmed as 20th September 13:00 start time

This year the Cannon Street Run will be a Random 15 challenge. The date is still to be confirmed however it will probably be a Saturday in September, excluding 13th September as I will be away. I would suggest we go for 1pm start as with the last R15 challenge. Will confirm the date ASAP.

Please don't make it the 27th as I can't do that one (nor Oct 4th)!

These are the following engineering works for Saturday's in September:

Sat 06 Sep 08 District East Ham to Upminster
Sat 06 Sep 08 Victoria Highbury & Islington to Walthamstow Central

Sat 13 Sep 08 District East Ham to Upminster
Sat 13 Sep 08 Jubilee North Greenwich to Stratford
Sat 13 Sep 08 Victoria Whole line

Sat 20 Sep 08 Victoria Whole line
Sat 20 Sep 08 District Barking to Upminster
Sat 20 Sep 08 Metropolitan, Hammersmith & City and Circle Baker Street to Aldgate (Metropolitan line); Edgware Road to Barking (Hammersmith & City line) & King's Cross to Moorgate (Circle line)

Sat 27 Sep 08 Sat 27 Sep 08 Jubilee North Greenwich to Stratford
Sat 27 Sep 08 Sun 28 Sep 08 District Barking to Upminster

So depending on whether you think engineering works spice up the R15 or make it less interesting the 1st and Last Saturday's seem to be the best for avoiding engineering works, The 2nd and 3rd could make it alot more difficult (especially the 3rd) with all the line closures!!

Looking at the closures, I agree the 6th or 27th would be best.

I quite like the closures, IMO this adds even more interest to the challenge......

I think any Saturday in Sept works for me anyway........ :D

Any activity on this?

This Saturday is definitely the best one to do it on this month, as all stations in Zones 1-2 are accessible. Although it seems a bit late for that now! I'd be up for it, would actually work really well for me this Saturday!

EDIT: ha actually posted this the exact same time as greatkingrat ^

Who are Hayes & Yeading playing then :?:

OK here is a quick question for you, if you start with the Premier League and go down the divisions who are the first club you come to with 100% record this season, therefore being the highest placed team in the country to have won every game...

A virtual pint to the first to reply and you are allowed to research the net...... :P

EDIT: Full and correct name required please...

Blimey mate, does it have to be then? Hayes and Yeading have AFC Wimbledon at home - apparently the attendance might hit 1,000!
