No idea, but here's a contender for slowest first place, from the same location:

So it turns out Barking is quite a fast course...

Good run today, everything was feeling pretty good so I decided to push it at Hove Park.
End result was 36th place and a new PB of 20:38 with age graded of 72.05%.
Really pleased with that, 47 seconds quicker than my previous PB. It's going to be hard to make any further improvements now!

Well done, old man.
I took seven seconds off my course best at Mount Edgcumbe, but it's still tough going up that bloody hill. Still, I'm second in the male point table after four events, and have scored the most run points of anyone. My competitive nature may prevent me from going anywhere else for a while, in order to finish in the top three next January.

I think Aldenham may be the first venue I have returned to and not beaten the previous time.

OK, all updated and I think everything is correct.
PBs and CBs everywhere today - too many to mention. Soup Dragon and DrainBrain move up the table with their improved times. I'll be happy just to get under 26 minutes at Mount Edgcumbe!

Awesome stuff! I can agree with that last sentiment after I knocked a big chunk off my PB too.
Another first for me: I was first finisher in my age group.
My course best on the Southsea main course is a now woeful 25:45 (24:54 is on the alternate Southsea course). Next target is to get that down.
That's not going to happen next week though as I'll be at Crystal Palace.

I've been trying for this for ages. The best I've managed is second place, both times at Mount Edgcumbe. I'll get it one day ...

My best is also 2nd place which was at Bevendean Down a couple of weeks ago. This week I was only in 9th in my age category which was a bit of a surprise as I finished 36th overall.

Why is there ALWAYS someone in my age group ahead of me? Even when I finish bloody seventh twice.
