OK just over 1 week to go now and I am sure that the full network "virgins" are getting very excited :P

We have cobbled together a Chesham  Amersham route, in fact we have quite a few and Soup Dragon is just putting the finishing touches to our optimum route today.......

Although the route probably isn't a GWR breaker there are opportunities to make time up and only one really "tight" connection where we will really have to give it "the beans"

I would say it is around 100/1 against a GWR but you never know and we will still get witness statements, trains numbers, times, photos, stop watches etc...

There are 2 reasons for choosing this option;

1) There is more chance of completing due to early closure of Heathrow T4
2) Logistically this makes things much simpler pre and post challenge

We will be departing on the 05:17 from Chesham (2 minutes sleep and GWR time lost already this used to depart at 05:19 :x :( )

The more the merrier so anyone that want's to join up with our team and come round with us on the day is more than welcome :D

Any questions / queries please fire away.........

And you can add to the list....

3) The theme of this years CiN is "Do Something Different", so by doing a Chesham start with an Amersham finish this certainly meets that criteria :)

I'm really looking forward to this and sadly it looks like we might get to £500 before the event so I will have to honour my pledge to do the challenge in fancy dress. Is anyone else still brave enough to go for fancy dress or will I be the only idiot

Just trying to figure out how far behind everyone I am going to be on the runs..... :?

Out of 10 what would you say your running over distances of 300 - 1200 metres is like :?:

I know Starkey is supporting but using him as a benchmark of 10

Going Underground 2 out of 10

By the way I see that Silverlink isn't running again today due to industrial action, that could screw some of our plans next week....... :?:

TFL take over most Silverlink Services on Nov 11, but I don't know if that would stop industrial action :?:

Based on Starkey being a 10 I would estimate my running skills as an 8, but I reckon on the sprints I could give him a run for his money. If I was wearing the "Wonderwoman" costume I reckon that I would then be rated 11, and wearing an Arsenal shirt on the New Cross/Gate run my running speed improves to 12 :D

Short distance 8
Long distance 6 rapidly dropping to 4
Up stairs/escalators 7 as long as I don't have to do much afterwards.

Oh, add this to your RSS feeds - me and Jack will hopefully be producing live updates on Friday when we're above ground.

Hi Matt, you're welcome to join us for the whole day if you wish, if you fancy being at Chesham by 05:17

I certainly hope that it's a bit warmer on Friday morning, it was -2 degrees at 0700 this morning
