OK, so week 14 is over and here are the new cumulative scores:

For the first time, Sam isn't in the top three (she came in fourth this week), and uefacup81 closes in. This week's top three were uefacup81, Going Underground, and Root. Total points claimed this week: 9867.
The only thing I think I need to point out this week is the following passage from the 19th of September (which doubles as Talk Like A Pirate Day):

Now I did amend the rules to allow for claims where people add words before and after their claims, as SD and GU have done above. The current rules also mention that I will judge each post individually, especially when we have the above. The only reason I mention this is because a rare appearance from Edgemaster has thrown a spanner in the works.
SD claims 30 weed, but not via the standard format, "x weed". I therefore have to decide whether it's 30 weed or a spoiler. On this occasion I allowed the claim. GU then does more or less the same thing, adding the word "ship's" into his claim. Again, I allowed it under the circumstances (Talk Like A Pirate Day). SD's next claim of 45 weed does not have any inserted words, but it has words before and after it. Once again, I have allowed it.
Now I'm guessing that Edgemaster has seen the above and decided to himself that SD and GU's claims are invalid under the strict interpretation of the rules, and has decided that the last valid claim was uefacup81's 55 weed at 13.07, thus claiming 90 weed for himself from that point.
Now obviously, he couldn't ask me beforehand what the last valid claim was at that point, and he has probably taken the decision himself. However, as I have judged SD and GU's posts individually, Edgemaster has technically made an invalid claim for 90 points.
Now, Edgemaster might feel a bit annoyed about this, but it's a choice between SD and GU being penalised for not following the rules strictly, or Edgemaster being penalised for pre-empting how I would score this passage of play.
If you like, I can simply say that unless you type "x weed" and ONLY "x weed", it's a spoiler. Doesn't bother me, but I'm only saying this now before everyone starts moaning about how unfair I've been etc. etc. And I can always retrospectively alter the scores if enough people moan.
Having said all of the above, does anyone actually give a shit?
