Station Hurdy-Gurdy - Answered
So, the clue was 'toilet'. Perhaps that's 'WC'. Yes, it's time to flush this one out...
'W.C.' are the initials of Station Hurdy-Gurdy, which is Wrexham Central. Or perhaps Wrecsam Canolog, in the vernacular. Either way, it's still toilet.... Photo taken after my arrival there in 2015. I then walked back to Wrexham General to continue my journey.
Well done to Michael Churchill, TubeGuru and LunaticOnTheGrass for correctly guessing the station.
Next up in a day or two will be Station Itótele! (What's one of those, I hear you ask...)

Station Itótele
In case you’re wondering, an Itótele is the middle drum in the set of three batá drums, from Cuba.
As for where Station Itótele is, well, you’ll have to work that out for yourselves. PMs, please!

Station Itótele - Hint
If the hint to Hurdy-Gurdy was “toilet”, the hint to Itótele is “computer”.

Station Itótele - Answer
So, the hint for Station Itótele was 'computer'. That could be a PC! Which are the initials of Station Itótele.
And 'well done' to trains500, tubeguru and greatkingrat for correctly identifying Station Itótele as Paisley Canal.
Now, with it being Passover week, how appropriate that Station Jew's Harp will be coming in a day or two...

Station Jew's Harp
Here we go then. The Jew’s Harp is an instrument with a small frame and vibrating metal tongue which you put in your mouth. Firstly, pluck the tongue (the metal one, not yours…). Then alter the shape of your mouth to make interesting twangy sounds. With comedy potential.
Oh, and Station Jew’s Harp is awaiting your PMs!

Station Jew's Harp - Hint
A couple of correct guesses, so I'll give a hint for the rest of you...
You might ask, looking back, "Were gas-lamps ever used at this station?" The answer could be staring you in the face.
A weird hint I know, but it could be very illuminating...

Station Jew's Harp - Answered
Righty-ho. Time to finish this one. My cryptic clue... "Looking back, 'Were gas-lamps ever used at this station?'"...
...if you 'look back', within the phrase "Were gas-lamps", you'll see Station Jew's Harp written backwards...
...which is Alsager!
Well done to tubeguru and trains500 who both got this correct. Not too difficult for the first entrant, who apparently lived in Alsager when he was in short trousers! (Or perhaps they were becoming a bit longer by then?
)
From one comedy instrument to another. Station Kazoo will be rasping its way to you within the next few days.

Station Kazoo
Well, I’m sure you all know what a Kazoo is, so I won’t bother rasping on about that one. Just PM me to tell me where Station Kazoo is.
I will be heading off to Scotland this coming Thursday and will be ‘off-forum’ for a few weeks. So you have plenty of time to Mull this one over. In fact, the Skye’s the limit. If it all seems a bit Rum, just Muck in with others to solve it, and you won’t end up with Eigg on your face…. (Other Scottish islands are available...

It’s an anagram of “gametes”…RobbieM wrote: ↑25 Jun 2025, 20:17 No correct answers yet, so I'll give Station Kazoo another push.

Station Kazoo - Answered
Well, I'm pleased to finally answer this. It's been hanging around a long time.
And let's be honest - I think it was only the anagram of 'gametes' rather than the picture which gave it away. So well done to RJSRdg, tubeguru, DavidC and Lunaticonthegrass for correctly deducing that Station Kazoo was Maesteg. At the end of one of the isolated Valley lines. I even had to visit it on a different date to all the others.
Station Lumzdelis will hopefully be coming in the next few days. And it'll be much prettier than Kazoo (and a lot less raspy...).

Station Lumzdelis
"What's a Lumzdelis?", I hear you ask. Surely you should know that it's a long shepherd’s flute made from aspen or willow! From Lithuania, of course - where else?
"Where's Station Lumzdelis?", I also hear you ask. Surely you should know the procedure now. Just PM me when you're ready!
