It is still invalid to post 3, and that (-3) is what I put in the spreadsheet when I updated it this afternoon for you. At least I realised that it wasn't 111!tractakid wrote:https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Roman_numeralsA Challenge wrote:???tractakid wrote:III weed

Do we play to the second of the post - or just the minute?

Re: Tumbleweed Scores
Maybe it's just my view that shows seconds! You can change it in your settings where you choose your time zone.
Imdirectly that answers my question.

Yes - mine just showed HH:MM. I have just changed mine using the Custom option from "d M Y, H:i" to "d M Y, H:i:s" after delving into the fascinating write-up on the parameter values (including their case-sensitive nature) !

Re: Tumbleweed Scores
I don't have seconds on my user though if that is how to do it then I might do it and be a bit stricter. Hower, in the rules, it says nothing, and the closest I can find is that:DavidC wrote:Yes - mine just showed HH:MM. The reason why I note this is that claims at the same time are not counted with negative points and if we play to the second then not getting negative points would be a lot more unfair as posting to the second of another post that is at the same time will be hard, and the points would be deducted.tubeguru wrote:4. Multiple claims at the same time
If two or more claims are made at the same time (that is, they have the same timestamp on them), the first valid claim will get the points claimed. The remaining claims will simply be ignored and the clock will be reset as usual. If the first claim in post order is invalid, then that player will have points deducted, and the next valid claim in post order will get the points, and so on.
Also the scoresheet would need to be adapted slightly and the old posts would end up being all on zero seconds, so this idea would probably need to have a score reset.

Re: Tumbleweed Scores
The last post I counted last week was leamfarrar's post 03/01/2015 06:18 as it had happened before the score update. this means that the total points scored is 12,180, which is actually 99.67% of total points claimable. The logic behind what had happened still works, though. What it should be is in quotes below, including leamfarrar's new score and the correct overall points.A Challenge wrote:Scores to 2nd January 2016 at 23:59 with weekly figures in italics, overall in bold.

Incidentally, under the seconds approach, you were five seconds early with your 90 weeds claim tonight ...

Re: Tumbleweed Scores
5 seconds? Who cares, we are playing to the minute and I got it in in the same minute even though it wad 5 seconds early. Also, I am playing (and scoring) to the accuracy of to the minute because I can't find the to the second in the User Control Panel.DavidC wrote:Fine by meA Challenge wrote:...this idea would probably need to have a score reset.
