It's probably the Northern Line - the District Line is longer, but quite a bit more infrequent!! So I'm going with the Northern.

The other possible is the Piccadilly, but since the Uxbridge branch is so badly served and the frequency isn't great I'm guessing the Northern...

I know it's resurrecting a long dead thread, but I have to pass on this fact I recently discovered... in the form of a question.

Name the two people in history who have won a Nobel Prize and had a songwriting credit on a record that has reached number one in the British chart.

That's easy. They are the PLAYERS who scored the winning goal in the FA Cup Final, not the teams.
So Brooking in 1980.

Bob Dylan is the obvious one, no idea who the other is.

Here are some from me:

1. Who never took a wicket in his county cricket career but got a hat trick for England?
2. In which sport did Uruguay win the European Championships in 1956?
3. In which sport did Denmark get a Commonwealth Games medal in 1994?
4. Which former England cricketer was an air raid warden for less than half an hour?
5. What difficulty ensued when Tazio Nuvolari won the 1935 German Grand Prix, and how was it resolved?
6. What was unique about a hat-trick taken by Albert Saxe-Coburg-Gotha in a cricket match at Windsor in the early 20th century?

There was an English runner (5000m?) called Rob Denmark.

Bob Dylan is correct, well done! I wouldn't expect anyone to know the other...

Charles Dawes was an American politician who won the Nobel Peace Prize in 1925 for the Dawes plan which involved German reparations after World War I. He was Vice President to Calvin Coolidge from 1925-1929, then became US ambassador to the UK for 2 1/2 years. In 1912 he wrote a piece of music to which lyrics were added in the 1950s. In 1958, "It's All In The Game" by Tommy Edwards was a number one.

This also makes him one of two US congressmen with a number one songwriting credit - the other being Sonny Bono from Sonny and Cher.

Based on the style of your other questions, is it something like Geoff Hurst played some county cricket?

Michael - yes, all three answers correct. Geoff Hurst played one first class county match for Essex (against Lancashire). 0 not out in the first innings and out for 0 in the second. As he was a wicket keeper, he never bowled, never mind took a wicket!

Any takers for questions 4, 5, & 6?

5. What difficulty ensued when Tazio Nuvolari won the 1935 German Grand Prix, and how was it resolved?
The authorities (i.e. the Nazis) had not even considered a non-German racing driver winning the race so when Nuvolari won, they hadn't got a copy of the Italian national anthem to play. Nuvolari solved this by handing over his own copy of it for them to play.

Widely considered one of, if not the greatest win in motorsport history.

6. He bowled his grandfather, father and brother in three consecutive balls ... and all four of them were Kings during the 20th century.

Is this a reference to the episode of Dad's Army in which Fred Trueman played E.C. Egan, a professional cricketer who was signed up to play for the ARP wardens' team?
