Re: Our Chosen Football Teams......
They're in the same league position they were in last week. So not a bad week really.

Re: Our Chosen Football Teams......
The very funny Twenty Twelve had some excellent coverage from the Daggers ground in tonight's episode. If you don't want to watch the whole episode it's a 6:16.

Quick update from Portman Road:
According to this morning's papers and Twitter, Ipswich are in talks with perennial donkey Emile Heskey.
Feel free to commence mocking... now!

If Portsmouth are in a position to play Bournemouth this season. They're three weeks from liquidation according to the administrator.palkanetoijala31 wrote:perhasp both of ur portsmouth fans would like to come down in feb then when u get beaten by bmth
As for Yeovil beating Plymouth, why does that not surprise me?

In other news my second team, Hertha Berlin, beat Jbom's Norwich 3-2 in Gleisdorf, Austria, earlier this evening. The start of second season syndrome for the budgies?

Haven't they been three weeks from liquidation for the last three years or so?tubeguru wrote:If Portsmouth are in a position to play Bournemouth this season. Re: Our Chosen Football Teams......
I don't know, but the administrator has said that unless eight players give way on their contracts, and unless they can sell some players, the club won't be able to clear their wage-bill debt, and the potential owner will not buy the club. In those circumstances the club would be liquidated, and any club that were to restart from the remains would have to start in the Blue Square Premier league or some similar lower league.
This has to be done WITHIN three weeks, or you may as well say goodbye to Portsmouth F.C. as we know it.

Re: Our Chosen Football Teams......
Bit of a mixed bag for our teams yesterday, including a couple of forum derbies to start the season off with.
Honours were shared between Matt/Sam and James, and between moley/Glen and Andi as Blackburn v Ipswich and Portsmouth v Bournemouth both finished 1-1. Whilst Hopeful Traveller's Fulham humped jbom's (is he actually still around??) Norwich 5-0.
Other than that, it was pretty disappointing with Wolves, QPR, Huddersfield, Spurs, Dagenham, Exeter and Plymouth all notching up defeats.
The other James and Matt will be pleased with Gillingham's win, whilst Sam/Matt are yet to see a win with Yeovil recording a 1-1 draw against newly-relegated Coventry.
(Have I missed anyone?)
