A quick visit to the WHSmith as you're leaving the station, then you hop on a bus to the city centre.

Feeling the need to become a Royal Marine, you take a train down to Lympstone Commando.

You get to the locked gate, the train pulls away, then you can't get through. Disheartened, you catch the next train back towards Exeter. The train stops at "Newcourt Station" and the doors open.

You're puzzled why it did this, since you vaguely remember that the station isn't due to open until December. Nonetheless, you jump off, and...

After stocking up on Jaffa Cakes, and noticing the magazine collection is significantly poorer than provided by WH Smith, you jump on a J bus to Pinhoe Station.

......Coral were offering 5/1 that the next tube challenge record would be under 16 hours.

You pocket a few free pens, then head to the bus stop and catch a number 4 to Axminster. As the bus pulls away your heart drops as you realise you missed a trip to your favourite newsagents.

But it doesn't matter. You've visited that branch before, anyway. So onto Axminster, where a freak of thread-travel aligns you with the Counting thread (at 1,297). Then after searching for a carpet shop, you...

...you board a number 885 bus to Seaton. On the way, however, you see exactly what you were looking for, the Axminster Carpets Factory Outlet. You get off the bus and go into the factory shop.

In the Axminster Carpets Factory Outlet, you find just what you were looking for - A flying carpet!

You board said airborne transport, and it takes you towards the Orient. However, the carpet develops engine failure, and you crash land near Mumbai. Slightly injured, you call 1298 for an ambulance...
  • Hmmm... still with the Counting thread...

After being patched up in Bhabha Hospital, you stumble round the corner to Kurla Station, and jump on a Central Line train to Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus. Jai Ho!

Outside Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus, you see a car on fire. Dousing it with the ozone depleting fire suppression agent BTM, you find that it is a rare Triumph 1300. You drive it to Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport.

Still with the Counting thread, in the form of 1300 and 1301! Skipped the B1299, we'll have to do a Tyne and Wear Metro challenge at some point... but first, back to the UK...
