Just defending the time and effort you have put into this route (so far) team mateStarkey7 wrote:What, pray, are you insinuating?
Once the edges are tidied up a bit it might just be a "winner"

Yes, we know that. But there are four reasons that we're probably not going to bother:
1: If ever Guinness change their minds, we'll be in there.
2: We (the team) have decided that since Shoreditch is permanently closed, it ought not to be in the challenge, and therefore we're going for a moral record.
3: It's also Comic Relief day and during charity challenges, it's best not to get too intensive!
4: Shoreditch is a pain in the neck.

Just to answer in relation to your points from my POV:Starkey7 wrote:Yes, we know that. But there are four reasons that we're probably not going to bother:

4: Shoreditch is a pain in the neck.
1: Don't you think that other people have also devised routes that do not include Shoreditch based on exactly the same line of thought? In this case, I think that "we'll be in there" is a bit too strong a phrase
2: No-one has any objections to this, just the fact that you and your team-mates have said several times that you may go for a GWR, and then say that you won't be visiting Shoreditch! For the record, if you do beat our time having not visited Shoreditch, and not been in a position to visit Shoreditch when the buses are running (ie. you find yourself at Whitechapel outside of the bus-running hours), then unless your time demolishes our time, I won't be *that* impressed, as the constraint of having to visit Shoreditch severly limits the route possibilities for a GWR.
3: Agreed, Charity Runs should be as they say on the tin, the priority should be on getting as much money and exposure for the Charity!
4: I couldn't agree more
