try doing it from bmth nigel that means a 2.50am alarm

for the first HT4 train, awake by 03:00 and leave the house at 03:30 gets there in plenty of time from Milton Keynes

Probably advisable to get your tickets the day before. You don't want to encounter problems with a ticket machine at 5.05am :D

I've never had a problem. Make sure you bring a card though- I had to buy Andi's ticket on my card as he only had cash!

The machines won't let you but you should be aable to get it from a human

Cockfosters station has a ticket selling human between 0700-1200 and 1700-2000 on a weekday.
