Well I don't get the motivation. I can see why people might just want to play it for fun, like the Around the World Game or Counting or whatever, but if you're going to have scores I'd have thought it was pretty important to keep them updated fairly frequently. Unless you're all keeping track of your own scores of course.

I've lost track.

Well, I suggest you just stop scoring it then. The scores are clearly meaningless.

The whole bloody game is meaningless. That's the point of it - it's one big ironic waste of time.

But its fun...

Would you have any objection to me doing the scores from your last update?

I had been waiting until it got to 10 pages or 6 months... Both of which are close!

Oh, well in that case I'll leave it to you.

I can return to calculating them weekly/monthly afterwards, if you like, as the game has slowed down somewhat now.

Well, as it's been 18 months since we had the "reset the scores" conversation, it's clear that no scores are coming. So with that mind I am proposing that we reset ALL scores to zero and start again. It's not actually as if it's important or anything ...

I can only assume we're all OK with this then? :D

You can definitely reset my score to zero.

Lock the thread. Reset the scores to nil and start again.

The old thread can still be scored when I have a moment.

RIGHT.

The scores are being reset to zero. If Moley wants to go back through old scores and add them up, he's more than welcome to do so. He might find it easier to start from new. :)

So, I'll start a new thread, and lock the old one when I decide to reset. I just need to put the kettle on, and then I'll do it this evening.

OK, scores reset to zero. A new game thread has been started. You may now begin ...

Being a novice at this game I just want to check I've understood the rules correctly. So far we've had:

13 Jul 2015 21:10 - 2 bells (me)
16 Jul 2015 13:29 - 65 bells (moley)
16 Jul 2015 19:58 - 70 bells (DavidC)

I had assumed that moley's claim was valid, but in fact he was only entitled to claim 64 bells. Invalid claims don't reset the clock, so DavidC's claim was from the time of my post, making it valid. Is that right?
