Decide to do it tomorrow. You choose to tweet that you hold the new record today, however. Then to get yourself in the mood, you go around Line 12 several times in a row.

You make your way to a start point at Arganda del Rey, armed with stopwatch and suchlike instruments. You meet Adham Fisher on your way - who obviously wants to secure his time from the combined minds of The Orange One, tractakid, scrxisi, greatkingrat, jamesthegill, snudge27, Going Underground, tangy, Rhys1995, hopeful traveller, RobbieM, Urzzz1871, Albert the elephant and Bernard.

(I have never met Adham Fisher, but he's got a Madrid Metro time among many others including most recently NY. That was a complete list of people who have posted on the thread, plus our two favourite characters, and minus GuyBarry who posted something that wasn't a journey leg - with some of the best challengers on this list, including TWO New York FNC Record Holders I'm sure we can beat 13:03:31 fictionally. He has to be attempting to keep the record in safe hands.)

You pull out your Spanish phrasebook, bought during one of those multiple WH Smith trips, and start to learn the language properly.

You then find your way to Madrid-Barajas, fly BA to Heathrow Terminal 5 and take the Piccadilly Line to Earls Court, where you get inside the TARDIS and head straight back to the start point of Arganda del Rey.

Having spectacularly halved the record, you head back to the TARDIS, which you fly back to Earl's Court.

You then bump into me for the umpteenth time and we chat all the way to Paddington (Circle and District), where I stand up and get off. Curious to see where I'm running to, you follow me. I take you all the way, at full speed through to the H + C platforms and we head Southbound on the H + C...
