Soup Dragon wrote:Well done on your PB Neil. I enjoyed my first stint at volunteering today. I did course set-up and this allowed me to run as well. Also I nominated myself to run as 27 minute pacer, as I had an 8km cross country this afternoon. Give my the lovely seafront any day, the Downs are a killer and certainly not my idea of fun.
Hey 1 x volunteer credit and well done on the pacing 26:31 would have got anyone around that had you close in their sights within the 27 mins... Crystal Palace has a nice hill but not as tough as Bevendean... It will be volunteer role number 25 for me tomorrow at juniors so another t-shirt will be coming soon
Also well done on the PB Neil and Al

The first train from Euston gets as far north as Preston!

If you were willing to leave 15 minutes before the Saturday you could get to Penzance with ages to spare!

Great shift Geoff - congrats. That's what commitment looks like!
Hope you are all well. Not much running for me at the minute for various reasons (least of all a one year old and another on the way) but hope to back on my feet sometime soon - has been a long time since I've been on the tube as well, maybe too long?

Talking of PBs, I did a 9km run this morning and the first 5km came in at 22:16, which is 24 seconds faster than my Parkrun PB. That included a hill and a huge group of runners doing a race in the park I ran through - I was running in the opposite direction to them ...

Going back to my 22:16 ... I think Strava was on the blink. I did the exact same run today, and it told me I'd run a total of 0.4k less than the 22:16 run, suggesting that the GPS must have been a bit off the other day. I probably didn't run it in 22:16, but it wasn't far off.

You can't make it if you come to Penzance as the parkrun is 12.5 miles away. You would need to change at Redruth for the 37 bus.

Been there, done that, got 1/50th of a T-shirt.
I got a good time too. It's strange because Burgess isn't completely flat: there's the underpass, and the path to the far corner is slightly uphill too.

A lot of very slow runs at Bedfont today, even the 39 min pacer couldn't get below 41 mins and 33:56 was my worst time there since May 2104

But..... the course was a quagmire where it had been frozen for 2 weeks and then thawed out it was proper mud city.....

OK, the spreadsheet is updated for this week here:
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/ ... sp=sharing
A note on last week's Crystal Palace times. It was brought to my attention that some of the times were incorrect due to a timing or tag error. This means that some people's times from the weekend have been changed on the Parkrun website. To reflect this, I have changed the times accordingly on the spreadsheet. Here is a rundown of what's changed on the Parkrun website:
tractakid - time changed from 24:50 to 24:52
scrxisi - time stays at 30:10
***** - time changed from 29:44 to 30:03
Going Underground - time stays at 32:58
Sorry to the ones who lost time, but blame the Crystal Palace timers, not me.

The Crystal Palace results have been updated again, and should now reflect accurate times.
