Maybe you could enlist the help of Quin Parker, an expert in getting home from nowhere.......

I have changed my mind - if Upminster is a good enough destination for everyone else it's good enough for me. Anyway, if I miss my final connection to reach Upminster then according to my reckoning I will be stranded in... Mile End :P and sort of an appropriate name for a final station if I don't manage to complete the Challenge (and also, my best mate lives just up the street from the station so no sweat!)

Pete aka Juggler

btw Geoff, have you guys worked out approximately how many miles of track you cover doing a challenge? It would be really interesting to know

Okay?

Hmmm..

I detect something that might be directed at me..

Does anyone fancy teaming up? My 'friend' has pulled out  and I sense doing this solo could push me over the edge!

Team Up

I don't have anyone either and I am looking as well. I need to be with someone experienced. How many usually to a team. Maybe Geoff has a bunch of us who are solo that can be pair up?

I'm on my own too.. and also a complete novice I'm afraid.

I refer any novices to my earlier offer, viz
PFW wrote:I have already said to Geoff that if anybody wants to follow me then they are welcome to. I will be using the same route as I used early last year which completed all stations in 19hrs 25min.

There are some flaws in the route so I won't be using it again - the only thing that I ask is a certain amount of honour. Please only follow me if you really do not have any route of your own; please do not make notes or take too many photos as we go around that you can later use when developing your own route. Just enjoy the ride...
Anybody who wants to follow me should e-mail me at paul@paul-fraser-webb.co.uk. I am on holiday for a week or so, so I'll get back to you on my return.

Well

I'm sure we could make up a team of noobs :) I'm on the way to putting together what I think will be a workable route but I agree it could be a very lonely experience doing it on me own (even with several good books and my 20GB MP3 player). I'm sure we can sort something out between us when we're on the platform at Amersham if not b4

There's nothing quite like the camaraderie of a Tube Challenge! It's not something to be done by yourself (unless you want to, I suppose)...

I emailed the cherry tree in amersham and they have one double room left and they dont accept credit cards . they want a bank draft so I cant do that one.
What other suggestions do ya'll have?

I assume that sunny Enfield isn't on the minibus's route either.

So long as I can get a nightbus from Trafalgar Square, or anywhere on the route, then I'll be alright..

Well

I'm staying at the Saracens Head in Amersham - they certainly had rooms available earlier this week when I booked (£50 for one person or £35 each if sharing a room - that's a bit cheeky given we won't be there for breakfast!). There are details further back in the thread...

They won't be able to handle 60 people turning up that's for sure.

Is there somewhere larger we can meet?

It looks like it's happened again.

Oval, Warren Street, and Shepherd's Bush stations have been closed. Northern Line fully suspended, same with Victoria Line, Central Line has severe delays.

Apparently, smoke has been seen from the stations.
