I think that'd be great, but I doubt you would be able to find 15 or so non-racing volunteers.
Interesting route planning then...

Isn't anyone up for the bus from Belsize Park to a point near Finchley Road?

You want the C11 for that.

That's one of my local bus routes. Goes between Finchley Road station to Belsize Park station.

Come out of Finchley Road, cross the main road and the stop is the one opposite Waitrose.

Well at first glance my opening bid would be;

Bakerloo  Waterloo ticking off Charing X
Change to Jubilee
Southwark  Canary Wharf
Double back Canada Water
Surrey Quays double back  Rotherhithe and Shadwell
Change onto District/Circle at Whitechapel
Ticking off Mansion House
Change at Victoria down to  Pimlico and double back
Then Gloucester Road  Earls Court
Fulham Braodway double back and up to  Kensal Green (change at Paddington)
Stay on to Willesden Junction then NR to West Hampstead
Jubilee  Kilburn then double back  West Hampstead
NR to Kentish Town and finish at Camden Town..

Hope I haven't missed any..... :D

estimate around 2hrs 50mins but a lot depends on the NR timings...
OK my route was:
Oxford Circus->(Vic,SB)->Pimlico->(Vic,NB)->Victoria->(Dis,WB)->Gloucester Road->(Pic,WB)->Earl´s Court->(Dis,WB)->Fulham Broadway->(Dis,EB)->Earl´s Court->(Dis,EB)->Mansion House->(Dis,EB)->Whitechapel->(ELL,SB)->Shadwell->(ELL,SB)->Rotherhithe->(ELL,SB)->Surrey Quays->(ELL,NB)->Canada Water->(Jub,EB)->Canary Wharf->(Jub,WB)->Southwark->(Jub,WB)->Waterloo->(Nor,NB)->Charing Cross->(Nor,NB)->Camden Town->(Nor,NB)->Kentish Town->(RW,)->West Hampstead->(Jub,WB)->Kilburn->(Jub,EB)->West Hampstead->(R,)->Willesden Junction->(Bak,SB)->Kensal Green

Yes, that was my route. My plan is Oxford Circus - Baker St - Finchley Rd - Belsize Park - Warren St then same as Hakan to Shepherds Bush (H+C).

hwolge wrote:... it's May 17:th, around 6:30p. We are all standing behind the news paper both in Argyll St (next to Oxford Circus). The organisers give each of us an envelope. We know there will be a list of Z1+2 stations, including the start station Oxford Circus, that must be visited in the shortest possible time... At a given signal we open our envelopes - revealing the list of stations to visit (with "normal" Guinness rules):

Oxford Circus
Angel
Barbican
Belsize Park
Camden Town
Cannon Street
Finchley Road
Highbury & Islington
Hyde Park Corner
Parsons Green
Shepherd´s Bush (H&C Line)
St. Paul´s
Stockwell
Turnham Green
Warren Street
Waterloo

The question is: What order is the best?
I've had a go at this as practice for my route planning skills. Here goes:

From Oxford Circus, take the Central east to St. Paul's, have a nice jog along the A1(!) to Barbican and take the Circle to Embankment via Cannon Street. Take the Northern south via Waterloo to Stockwell, go on the Victoria to Green Park, go one stop southwest to Hyde Park Corner and catch the 10/73 bus to Oxford Circus via Warren Street to Highbury and Islington. Go back to King's Cross, go back to Angel, and go up via Camden Town to Belsize Park. Continue to Hampstead and get a bus to Swiss Cottage, then head up to Finchley Road and continue to West Hampstead. Go on the LO to Gunnersbury, get the District via Turnham Green to Hammersmith and go up to Shepherd's Bush Market. Run to Shepherd's Bush and get a LO to West Brompton, where you get on a District south for a Parson's Green finish.

Comments please?

HHUUUUUUUUUUGEEEEEEEE BUMP!

Waiting at Barbican for a Circle to Cannon Street sometimes incurs a hefty wait...
