if we do not want to disturb people with our results, why not just go outside?

There are some very good points raised by Andrew A2, namely with regards to our group all being in a separate area and being on good terms with the landlord- who I am happy to say is still there as I popped in recently.

Although the Sam Smith mobile policy can be annoying, there is also a benefit of no other entertainment such as loud music or Sky Sports on a large telly which for me is a real bonus with regards to my autism plus it helps me when collating/announcing the results and other paperwork such as the darts sheets as it is relatively quiet atmosphere.

I could suggest as an alternative The Angel" in St. Giles which is another Sam Smith's pub and I think still has a dartboard located mostly out of the way of the main bar area but I would not be able to pre-book the darts area.

This is my first "live bucket draw". How does it work? Does this mean we'll have a few minutes to plan a route before 12.30 and therefore all make a mad dash for the 12.30 departure from Battersea Power Station station?

It means that instead of getting a list, we get a live draw. Think National Lottery, but with a bucket full of film canisters instead of a machine full of balls and even less chance of winning £1,000,000. You write down the stations that are called, and can start as soon as the last one is drawn and read out.

Auspicious start to the day - I left the outward part of my pre-booked ticket in the ticket machine, because it said first class, so thought it wasn't mine. Cue having to buy a new ticket (fortunately not too expensive) and then missing my planned train in the process. I should still be there for 12:15. It's all uphill from here, right?

Apologies, guys

After some reflection I've decided not to take part today. This is partly because I'm still not terribly confident in crowded spaces, particularly with current case rates, and also because my knee and ankle have been giving me some discomfort recently.

Which is a shame, as I had been looking forwards to it.

Have a good time and hopefully I'll be back out with you before too long.
