Re: wikipedia
It's not necessarily someone from here, that added the bit about Steven. What was written is widely-spread around the internet. It could have been anyone.

True......anyone in the world could have accessed that page and change it. Its not like only people from the UK can change it, everyone worldwide can.

Re: wikipedia
OK guys, these are the facts as I understand them ...
An unsupported statement was inserted in the Wikipedia Tube Challenge article accusing a certain individual of committing a criminal offence. Regardless of the whether or not such an allegation has any truth, it was entirely irrelevant to the subject of the article. It could also have legal ramifications.
A similar allegation was made some time ago on this forum and, I believe, later quite correctly deleted.
A previous comment in the Wikipedia article alleged a relatively minor transgression of TfL by-laws and Tube Challenge etiquette. That had no potential legal consequences (though it could conceivably have consequences for the GWR ratification of the record concerned), but was entirely unsupported by any reference to an external source. Such an allegation was simply out of place in an encyclopedia article and, if it needed to be raised, I can think of several better places to do it.

Agree 100% with what jbom1 has said above.
Petty squables and personal slurs don't have any place on wikipedia.

You might as well put a footnote in the entry for me and say that I had a wee in the bushes at Ickenham...
